Cardiovascular disease remains the number one cause of human disease and mortality worldwide. Despite advances in medical care, more patients continue to be afflicted, spend more time in the hospital and undergo cardiovascular related procedures, and treatments. My professional career is devoted to treating complex cardiac diseases with innovative solutions. Through this site I hope to collate various treatment options with an emphasis on patient centered care and participatory medicine.

Engaging participants as partners in research
Dr. Marc Katz participated in the Stanford Medicine X and White House Co-Create Workshop. The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to co-host a special design workshop, held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the White House. The event focused on engaging participants as partners in research, a core principle of the President’s Precision Medicine Initiative.
